Each of your sessions is a stepping stone toward you living a life in line with your values. We offer services Monday through Saturday and offer day and evening appointments.

Yes. Family-Therapy™ offers counselling services in several languages in addition to English. Language availability depends on the individual therapist and may include French, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Farsi, Dari, Creole, and others.

Accessing therapy in your preferred language can be especially important when discussing complex emotions, cultural experiences, or personal history. You can view language options directly in each therapist’s profile to help you find someone who can support you comfortably and clearly. Clients who have experienced domestic violence can qualify for free interpretation services. Let our receptionist know so we can help you access counselling in your preferred language.

Therapy sessions are available both in person in Ottawa and online across Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, depending on the therapist and appointment type. In-person sessions are offered at our Carling Avenue , while virtual sessions are provided through secure video platforms. Let us know if you are from out of province, so we can match you with a therapist who is licensed to work with you in your province.

Online therapy can be a helpful option if you live outside Ottawa, have mobility concerns, or prefer the flexibility of attending sessions from home. Many clients find virtual counselling to be just as supportive and effective as in-person sessions.

Some extended health insurance plans may cover therapy services provided by registered professionals. Coverage varies by provider, so it’s a good idea to check with your insurance company to understand what services are included under your plan. Clients covered through IFHP or medavie blue cross may require preapproval and a prescription from your doctor for counselling services. Do mention this to our receptionist and she can guide you on how to obtain a counselling prescription.
