About Daniel Hart
As a social worker, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, substance abuse, and relationship issues. I have supported various populations, including newcomers, individuals with housing needs, offenders reintegrating into society, seniors, people with addictions, and women escaping abusive situations.
I particularly enjoy helping clients navigate their addiction challenges, recognizing that each person’s journey is unique. I approach treatment from a harm-reduction perspective, meeting clients where they are and customizing the process to fit their specific needs. Over time, we can also explore the deeper root causes of the addiction to foster long-term healing.
I see therapy as a collaborative journey, where the goal is not only to achieve your immediate goals but also to equip you with the tools to address future challenges. I use a strengths-based, anti-oppressive approach to help clients build comfort and confidence in themselves. Drawing from narrative therapy and solution-focused brief therapy, I aim to help clients reframe their stories and discover their inherent strengths.
My approach is empathetic and client-centered, working to create an equal partnership between therapist and client. I see therapy as a safe space for you to be heard, where together we can navigate life’s unexpected challenges and uncover the skills you already possess but may not fully recognize.
Call today to book your appointment for therapy or leave a confidential message for me. I am accepting new clients.
